Tool Applications
Used to provide a seal between the running string OD and the liner ID. It ensures that all mud and cement are circulated through the bottom of the slotted/pre-perforated liner. The stinger pack off also allows pressure to build against a ball seat (or something similar) farther down the liner.
Design Features & Benefits
- Withstand high differential pressure and are almost chemically inert, making the stinger packoff an ideal sealing system in most well conditions.
- All internal components are elastomeric or aluminum, making them PDC drillable and allowing for quick drill-out of the stinger packoff.
- The stinger packoff can be located anywhere in the liner string. When it is used in its more conventional location, near the bottom of the liner string, it allows circulation through the shoe for slotted/pre-perforated liners
