Tool Applications
The Lead Impression Block (LIB) is made to easily capture an imprint of a downhole device or obstruction. By applying a single downward force, the soft lead surface gets imprinted upon impact. Once retrieved at the surface, the imprint helps determine the cause and type of obstruction in the well. This analysis assists in planning fishing operations to remove the obstruction.
