Tool Applications
The Wireline Grab is used in wireline fishing operations to collect damaged wireline and deliver it to the surface. Once the top of the severed wire is identified and gathered into a ball, the wire grab is deployed to catch the wire using the upward-facing barbs on the grab arms. Positioned directly above the wire grab, a jarring upwards function serves as a release mechanism in case the severed wire cannot be brought back to the surface.
