The Check Set Tool ensures the correct setting of B & T X Locks and B & T R Locks within the designated Landing Nipple. Upon successful deployment with either lock type, the tool's Shear Pin is sheared. The shearing of the Shear Pin in the Check Set Tool indicates the proper setting of the lock in the corresponding Landing Nipple.
