Tool Applications
Function of the shifting tool is to open, close & shift the position of the flow circulation devices or sleeves inside the bore hole. The B type shifting tool works similar to BO type shifting tools with only difference in it is that the B type shifting tool has a key whereas in BO shifting tool, it is not.
A self-releasing tool has a built-in mechanism that enables it to release automatically once a specific condition or set position is reached downhole.
